Woodland Walks

Bring your wellies and enjoy some fresh Wexford air.  Walk through the lavender field into beautiful Irish woodland.  There are walks to suit everyone ranging from 2 km to 7 km for the more energetic.

Walking boots/wellies are recommended. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the farm.

Woodland walks from the farm are not suitable for buggies/wheelchairs, we can however recommend Kilanerin Wood which has a parking area and is just a short drive from Wexford Lavender Farm, please ask staff for directions.

NEW FOR 2017! Fairy walk

Whilst all was quiet in the woods over the winter season some new visitors have arrived and moved in. Enjoy a walk in the woods and keep your eyes open to see where the little folk are living amongst the ancient trees -look high and low to see the little doors into their homes. Be sure to call into the Purple Haze cafe for a map before you go and on completion call back in to collect your child’s certificate (complimentary).

For our other walks please collect a map from our Shop before commencing on a walk.  Please note after crossing the bridge into the wood you will enter Coilte foresty.  Please be kind to the environment and bring your litter home.

All three routes start and finish from the Lavender Field:

Munstead Mile – Distance Approximately 2 km – Duration Approximately 50 minutes
Hidcote Hike – Distance Approximately 4 km – Duration Approximately 90 minutes
Rosea Trek – Distance Approximately 6 km – Duration Approximately 90-120 minutes

You’ll deserve another chocolate brownie after this hike!
